Danobat Grinding Technology for Aerospace Manufacturing

Aerospace components place very high demands on the grinding process. Parts such as engine rotors, blade tips, landing gear, shafts and casings often involve difficult materials, tight tolerances and high-value components where consistency is key.

Danobat has developed a range of grinding solutions specifically for these types of aerospace applications. One example is the mBTG-DANTIP, designed for blade tip grinding, deburring and measuring of fully assembled turbine engine and APU rotors. The process allows blade tips to be ground while the rotor is spinning at high speed, helping to achieve accurate results under conditions closer to how the component performs in service.
